i mean, action fugures like Marvel, and video game characters like God of War, Devil May Cry etc. not teddy bears lol.

You’re not alone. Lots of people have collections like these! I collect comic books, action figures, and dolls. I have over 30,000 comics (they take up an entire room!), I have the whole series of collectible figures from the American McGee’s Alice computer game, I own numerous comic book character figures, and I have the X-Files Barbie dolls that were released in the 90’s. I know other people probably think it’s totally lame and nerdy, but I’ve never really cared. It’s what I love, and I’m proud of the collections I’ve been able to get together!

My boyfriend is going to be away in bootcamp, and then further training for quite a few months and I’m looking for a fun way to spend the time at home alone. I’m really into making things that I can use, like sewing clothes or baking, but I want something that can amuse me for longer than a few days. Can excercise be considered a hobby?
Does anyone have any suggestions for me? They would be greatly appreciated.

Why not try scrapbooking? I think that could possibly keep you amused while he is away and it would be a great way to show him how you missed him, what you were doing, how your mutual friends were doing. You could incorporate his letters and pictures into it as well…He would probably really appreciate a home time record of his time away.

ok. My dog has this "hobby" of putting his toys on our laps while we eat dinner watch TV or just plain sitting. Here is what he does:

1) He puts his toy on our laps
2) He sits down quietly and stares at the toy
(If we touch he snags it ans runs, if we just leave it alone, he jumps up and pushes it w/ his snout deeper into our laps)

What can I Do To Provent This Annoying Hobby of his?

When I eat my bro (my dog) shoudl no tat he shoudl eat too instead of puttin his toy ON teh table and spillin drinks and cups. if ur gonna tell me play with him, then dont tell me. I no. I play with him 24/7 but he tends to NEVER sleep. And if u tell me to do research. I spent bucks buying tons of books on his breed.

Your dog wants to play fetch. But it’s inappropriate during dinner, and when you’re not willing to play.

Make sure you’re taking your dog out for lots of exercize during the day, especially before dinner.

When play time is over, put the toys away. I would provide chew bones – just don’t use them as a toy.

I’m thinking about starting a new hobby. I like trains so I was thinking of buying a train set and laying it out in my garage. I’m new to this hobby and I’ve been searching on the internet to find which trains to buy and I’ve noticed some sites use the term "Model Trains" while others use "Toy Trains" and "Toy Model Trains". I’m just curious if there is a difference between these three or do they all mean the same thing?

Yes, there is a difference, though it isn’t "standardized" as best as I know…

Model Trains are intended to be ACCURATE models of the real thing. In the USA, they are standardized by the NMRA (National Model Railroad Association) regarding scale, and electrical and software standards also. There are varied levels of detail and accuracy… some manufacturers have two "brands" accurate for the normal modeler, and hyper-detailed for the modeler with a BIG wallet.

Toy Model Trains are in between model trains and toy-trains.

Toy Trains are simply that… TOYS that look like trains.
